Women's Area

Is the women's healthcare at Östersund Hospital responsible for all gynecological and obstetric activities in Region Jämtland Härjedalen. We have about 1,200 deliveries per year and provide both emergency and planned care within the entire specialty. The operations include a delivery ward, maternity ward, gynecology ward, specialist maternity care, and gynecological outpatient clinic with approximately 9,000 visits annually. There are no private options in the region, which means we offer a broad and varied patient base and handle the entire care chain within women's healthcare.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are now looking for a new colleague for Women's Healthcare at Östersund Hospital, a senior physician or specialist physician in gynecology and obstetrics. The focus can be adapted according to your experience and interests.

As a physician with us, you will work clinically in both emergency and planned care. The tasks include outpatient work, work on the ward and delivery, as well as possible on-call duties. You play an important role in supporting the primary on-call and other colleagues. Supervision of ST physicians, general practitioners, and students is a natural part of the assignment, and we hope you will contribute your expertise to the clinical everyday work across the entire clinic.

The position is flexible and shaped in dialogue with you. We are open to different working hours, employment forms, and on-call arrangements. We also welcome those particularly interested in working with outpatient care to contact us for a conversation about possible solutions. QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Swedish medical license

Specialist certificate in Obstetrics and Gynecology

We prefer that you have backup competence.

You are confident in your role, have good clinical experience, and are used to making independent decisions in emergency situations.

You have a professional and empathetic approach and put the patient at the center of everything you do. For us, it is important that examinations and treatments always occur with the patient's consent and that the patient receives sufficient information to make informed choices. You actively contribute to a good work environment through a respectful approach, clear communication, and a team-based working method.

We also appreciate experience in supervision and an interest in supporting younger colleagues in their development. References will be considered in the recruitment process, with particular emphasis on judgment, collaboration skills, and communicative approach.
